Commissioning Of Milk Pasteurization Processing Line

Today, His Excellency Governor Francis Kimemia officially commissioned a 5,000 litres-per-hour milk pasteurisation processing line.
The governor has hailed the investment, noting that it will not only grow the rural economy through value addition, but also continue creating more jobs for our youths.
The governor gave the farmers company KShs. 2 million for the second phase of the expansion that will involve installing a processing line for the long life milk and also targeting processing of 100,000 litres of milk. Animal feed formulation and production will also be factored.
The Governor also pledged that Ol’Kalou Dairy will be roped in the ECDE milk supply programme that will see resources ploughed back to the county.
The event was also attended by County Executive Committee Members Hon. Raphael Njui (Industrialisation, Trade, Cooperatives and Urban Development), Hon. (Dr.) James Karitu (Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries), Hon. Dominic Murani (Public Administration and ICT) , Nyandarua Deputy County Commissioner Mr. Gideon Oyagi amongst other National and County officials.
